Epidermal Screening Test EDST, Diagnostical Acupuncture, Holistic Diagnosis

The Naturopathic diagnostic process is thoroughly proven. Using forms of  therapy that eliminate the harmful effects of environmental hazards are activating the powers of self-healing in the body. Holistic analyses and treatments prove particularly successful in chronic illnesses, because in such illnesses the underlying causes of the illness are an especially important starting point.

EAV - Testing to determine precise causes of illness

Developed in the ‘50s by the German doctor Reinhard Voll (1909-1989) Electroacupuncture following the Voll method is an entirely painless system of diagnosis and therapy. Nowadays, this method is used to identify the precise focal point of  the cause of disease and for selection of  medication to be used in therapy.
This form of diagnosis is particularly suitable in the case of chronic illness, because EAV is capable of isolating the toxins and environmental poisins which are the source of an illness. Various hidden inflammations and toxic deposits can be located by EAV., from dental materials such as amalgam, decaying food remains or environmental poisons. Subliminal diseases of the liver, gall bladder etc. can be detected and EAV can also identify psychological stresses.

EAV Diagnosis and Resonance Test ( Medication Test)

During the EAV test, the patient holds an electrode in his/her hand whilst readings at the  most important of 1200 acupuncture points in the hands and feet are taken. Readings in the middle values (50-70 on the scale) are normal, higher or lower readings indicate abnormal pathological changes in the body. Fluctuations in the readings indicate the presence of  hazzards and focuses.
During this first part of the test around readings are taken at 70-100 measuring points, to identify diseased organs and to locate toxic deposits.

Resonance Test – Medication Test

The second part of the examination is organ orientated, using computer generated frequencies to identify which problems can be found at this organ. (for example: Coxackie-virus at the point of the heart-nerv- plexus cardiacus; streptococcus at the point of the joints) Multiple problems in one or more organs can be found by this test and will be part of the detoxification treatment in the next two month.
A major advantage of the EAV test is that it identifies the appropriate medication, mainly homeopathic or herbal remedies, to suit the individual illness. In the case of homeopathic remedies, the EAV practicioner can calculate the optimum potency and determine the correct dilution ratio for the remedy. The response to medication can then be measured at the corresponding acupuncture point ; successful treatment resulting in the ideal reading of 50. Many ill people also have a lack of vitamines, minerals, trace elements, lipids, aminoacids that must be given, after the individual "Physical measurment" at the acupuncture point.

The Acupuncture Points – Diagnostic Acupuncture

The EAV system is based on Bioenergy principles and the experience and effects of Chinese acupuncture. Combined with the methods used in conventional medicine and Naturopathy, it has evolved into diagnostic acupuncture.
All of the functional areas of the body, organs and parts of organs are represented by one or more acupuncture points on the surface of the skin. At these specific points the EAV reading differs from that at immediately adjacent points on the surface of the skin. If a disturbing factor is present in one of the organs, the energy flow will be interrupted and EAV readings at the acupuncture point will indicate a higher resistance. The holistically orientated  practicioner can build up an extensive and accurate picture of the patient’s energy  and calculate individual problems for each organ.

The electrical voltage used for EAV testingis low enough to be unnoticeable to most patients and there is no danger of  shock or electrocution. The localised pressure from the probe electrode is easily tolerable, even by babies. No needles are used in the EAV and the patient  remains relaxed and untroubled; making it an especially versatile, non-invasive alternative to conventional methods of  examination and treatment. When examining and diagnosing children, such an approach is particularly useful.

Point Measuring – What gives trouble where?

A small electric current is passed through the probe electrode onto the skin of the hand (0.9 Volts – compared to a pocket torch battery of  perhaps, 1.5 Volts). This current passes through the body from the probe electrode to the opposite electrode, held in the patient’s other hand. When organs are healthy, the measuring instrument records a constant reading. When an unhealthy organ is encountered the passage of the electrical stimulus is disturbed and this disturbance is recorded by the instrument. The scale on the measures the precise level of the disturbance with every decrease of  the needle on the scale. (For example: The maximum reading at the bowel measuring point is 94 decreasing by 20 units to 74 in an unhealthy bowel.)
Studies and Scientific Publications about EAV
The fundamental effectiveness of EAV and the holistic combination of diagnosis and therapy are well documented and proven. In the Internet Library website at www.naturmednet.de one can find numerous studies listed.
